What is the Dread?
The Dread itself may remind us the forum site (close to Reddit), which resides in the deepweb. It’s community is closely connected and active, moreover Dread has some unique built-in features like subscription groups and user moderation – all of that comes from Reddit, but Dreads developers made it possible without using the JavaScript, and the reason beside that lies in the developer, known as the “HugBunter”, who is still an active Reddit user. His decision to create Dread came soon after the Darknet theme was banned at the Reddit.
Dread’s advantages
This website is more advanced than Reddit, simply because there’s no banned themes, also it has the Reddit analogue functioning, which attracts the old community. Moreover, Dread includes those unique services like market penetration testing and market development/hosting assistance.
Conflict with Olympus
When Reddit’s darkweb markets theme was banned, the Olympus forum suddenly realized it could enrich it’s community by attracting those who leave darknet subreddits. But most of them decided to follow Dread forum, what was not a happy thing for Olympus, so they’ve decided to cheat in order to prevent that, they’ve even bribed on of the Dread’s admins to get it’s secure info.
After they’ve done this, they successfully attracted most of Dreads users by claiming that is was hacked. The situation has evolved to a drama story, as soon as the mentioned “HugBunter” admin posted that it wasn’t the hack, just the bribe, nevertheless it was decided to close Dread in the end of April 2018, Olympus retreated and had to admit its failure. Soon after that, Dread was opened again and started to work even better than before, bringing excuses for being shutdown.
